An introduction

from the Headteacher

Welcome to the Richard Rose Morton Academy and thank you for taking the time to read our prospectus. I hope it offers you an insight into our enthusiasm and passion for truly making a difference to our young people.

Richard Rose Morton Academy

We are very proud of our Academy and all those important people who make it a fantastic place to learn and work. We want the best for our young people, and with our sponsors, are trying hard to make this one of the best Academies or schools in the country.

Our curriculum is different. We think that making learning real and exciting will support our students to achieve higher standards. We also think that teaching students how to learn is important for now and their future. Another important part of our curriculum is the way we link work and school. We use learning about work, local businesses and business people to show our students what is next in their lives. We hope this will build up their aspirations and help them to choose a career which they will love.

Richard Rose Morton AcademyIn a few years we will have a brand new building, but even now we are using the latest technologies to make learning more effective. We combine this with our specialisms of Maths and Performing Arts to offer all our students opportunities to show how great they are, build their confidence and ability to communicate, ready for the 21st Century.

We know success comes from partnerships and to us, you are as much a part of your child’s education as we are. It is your dedication that drives the future and we will involve you in the highs and lows, as often as we can, to keep you a part of that future.

Our Academy is committed to offering your child a happy, secure and supportive education where they will develop, learn and achieve with confidence and enthusiasm.

I look forward to meeting with you.
