Dear Parent/Carer

End of Term Arrangements

As we approach the end of a very busy and hugely successful year I would like to make you aware of the arrangements for the end of this term and the start of the next academic year.

The Academy will close to students at 12 noon on Thursday 15th July. Buses have been organised to leave the site at 12.10 pm. If you would like your child to have lunch before they leave please request this at Student Services Reception before Friday 9th July.

The new academic year begins for all students at 8.35 am on Monday 6th September.

Next year promises so much at Central. I am certain that we will emerge from Special Measures and, like all of the students and staff, I am genuinely excited at moving into our new Academy in January.

The more I learn of the almost completed building the more impressed I become. On opening not only will it be the best school building in the country, it will be a structure of which all of Carlisle can take great pride. More importantly the quality of education our students will receive will match that quality.

Can I take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of attendance and punctuality to school. Please continue to support us in ensuring that your child attends, on time, everyday.

Please also note that from September, only black shoes may be worn at Richard Rose Central Academy. All other current uniform rules will apply.

Finally, I would like to thank you for the support which you have given to me and to the staff at Central this year - it is much appreciated by all of us.
